About the Owners, Bill & Denise Kumer:
We have been dancing together since 1992 and love
it as much now as we did then. We have participated in competitions all over the U.S. and Canada, from Boston to Houston to San Francisco to Vancouver,
British Columbia to Toronto and many places in between. In Europe, we have competed numerous times in England, and in the
Czech Republic. In 1993, we were the U.S. National Amateur 10 Dance Runner’s Up. We turned professional, have been teaching since
1996 and are members of the National Dance Council of America. We have taught at Penn State and Carnegie Mellon Universities
and have also judged competitions. In 2001 we retired from competition in order to start a family. However, we still do perform together and compete
with students at competitions. We have been a part of “Dancing With The Celebrities of Pittsburgh”
every year since it's inception 4 years ago. Our experience and background enable us to teach the newest beginner through the most advanced student; in social
through competitive environments.
